Experimental Study on the Separation Performance of an Intermittent Discharge Concentrated Hydrocyclone

In the pretreatment for solid–liquid separation of sewage, traditional hydrocyclone cannot reasonably achieve a high underflow concentration and efficiency at same time. An intermittent discharge concentrated was proposed in this paper to solve problem. order determine specific performance hydrocyclone, studied influence structure parameters process on its through experimental testing. The results indicate that increasing overflow backpressure improves but reduces concentration; diameter pipe reducing orifice improve reduce efficiency; proper increase inlet pressure simultaneously increases concentration. parameter combinations were separately optimized total efficiency.
